The Fair Play Menarini International Award, the prestigious annual celebration of sporting ethics, is preparing for its 29th edition with an exceptional lineup of events and distinguished guests.
Menarini, a longstanding champion of promoting wellbeing and human values, continues its mission of connecting health, sport, and social responsibility.
Beginning July 2, 2025, Florence will welcome international champions, Olympic legends, and inspiring figures who embody a sporting ideal that transcends mere performance: fairness and respect.
Wednesday, July 2, will see the iconic Piazzale Michelangelo host the traditional gala dinner; while Thursday, July 3, brings the main event as audiences gather at the atmospheric Roman Theatre of Fiesole for the official awards ceremony.
Leading up to the main July events are two special occasions for younger generations.
First comes the Fair Play Menarini “Young Athletes” award, to be presented on June 11 during the launch press conference at the CONI Hall of Honor in Rome. Here, three young athletes will be recognized for their exemplary sportsmanship.
Then on June 26, the “Study and Sport” Fiamme Gialle Special Award will be held in partnership with the Finance Guard Sports Group and CONI Tuscany. This recognition celebrates emerging athletes who excel in both sports and academics, underscoring the importance of well-rounded education in developing character alongside athletic excellence.
This year, Fair Play Menarini once again partners with Sky TG24, which will provide comprehensive coverage of all key moments, showcasing both the awards and the stories of champions who have left their mark on world sport.
