Menarini’s commitment to public health receives major recognition

On June 27th, the Ara Pacis auditorium in Rome hosted the VIII Edition of the “Excellence in Scientific Information and Patient Centrality” Award.
This event, organized by the Observatory of Medical Scientific Communication (OCMS), was founded in 2017 to honor scientific information projects that have significantly benefited public health.
Menarini Group‘s dedication to public health and the fight against infectious diseases was celebrated with a nomination and a first-place win in the ‘Multichannel Scientific Information Excellence‘ category for their project, ‘Menarini Infection – Rational Management of Antibiotics in Hospitals: From Theory to Clinical Practice‘.
The 2024 Award edition saw impressive participation: 115 projects were presented, 161,000 doctors were contacted, over 9,721 projects were reported, and 43 awards were given, including 9 special awards and 2 lifetime achievement awards.
Menarini’s training initiative aimed to equip Italian healthcare professionals with practical guidelines for the appropriate use of antibiotics in hospitals, ultimately reducing the incidence of infections caused by resistant bacteria. Antibiotic resistance remains a major public health issue with significant clinical and economic implications.
The ‘Menarini Infection’ program offered high-level training through 40 meetings, providing scientific updates on antibiotic therapy.
Menarini Group consistently supports educational and training programs, including courses, workshops, and conferences.
Dr. Marco Di Carlo, Director of Menarini Ethical Pharmaceuticals Italy, expressed his pride: “We are honored to be recognized by the scientific community for our commitment to improving people’s health through quality scientific information and support for innovative, valuable projects.
I extend my gratitude to the entire team whose efforts were crucial to the success of this initiative.“
