Planning the future of aging: Menarini Asia-Pacific facilitating the discussion with EuroCham

The older generations represent our history and our traditions, and carry a wealth of experience and wisdom allowing them to serve as invaluable mentors for younger people. This is an important reason why it is essential to continue supporting them through technological advancements and ensuring they have the resources to live well and with hope for the future.
The topic is particularly relevant in Asia, where the elderly population is projected to surpass one and a half billion by the end of this century. A significant demographic shift is occurring in various East Asian nations, including Singapore, where it is anticipated that a quarter of the population will soon be over 65. Older adults are a crucial component of our city-state, and ensuring they maintain good health into their later years is one of the primary challenges that Menarini Asia-Pacific is committed to addressing.
In response, Menarini Asia-Pacific partnered with the European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (EuroCham) to host a panel discussion titled “Healthy Aging in Asia: Collaboration Strategies for the Future.”
The event aimed to foster dialogue around the implications of this demographic change and to develop solutions focused on four key areas: providing swift and effective care for the elderly, offering preventive health services, ensuring access to medical care, and facilitating supportive care within communities.
The event attracted over 70 participants, including leading figures from the pharmaceutical, insurance, and medical device industries, as well as representatives from both governmental and non-governmental organizations.
True to Menarini’s core values that always put the patient first, Menarini Asia-Pacific remains dedicated to supporting the community, not only through its broad range of products and treatments but also through various forms of collaboration with both public and private entities interested in enhancing the well-being of the elderly and promoting healthy aging strategies across the population.
