Revolutionizing digital communication: Menarini Portugal ON a journey

With this goal in mind, the Menarini ON project was born, an online space dedicated to talking about work and the people who get it done every day. Menarini ON

Launched in 2023, Menarini ON has already become a cornerstone of Menarini Portugal’s internal communication strategy, bringing together colleagues from various departments and creating a vibrant online space for dialogue and collaboration.

 

The genesis of Menarini ON 

Menarini ON saw its beginnings back in March 2021, when General Manager Miguel Rovisco de Andrade challenged a group of seven collaborators from different departments to come up with a new project for internal communication. After receiving approval from the board of directors and going through a pre-production phase, the project was finally implemented in 2023.

Menarini ON employeesThe inaugural session, a live 30-minute broadcast, featured an interview with Miguel Rovisco de Andrade himself and introduced the project team. This session set the stage for what was to come, highlighting the collaborative spirit and innovative approach that would define Menarini ON. The first year saw sessions dedicated to employees, products, and a special Christmas edition that brought the entire team together in a festive celebration.

 

Evolution and expansion in 2024

As with any successful initiative, Menarini ON has evolved significantly in 2024, with a five-member team dedicated to it and the broadcast setup having moved from a simple meeting room to a professional studio environment. This new upgrade has also incorporated a virtual scenario and a news format, making the sessions more engaging and visually appealing.

The sessions now cover a broader range of themes, ensuring there is something for everyone. For instance, the “Menarini Bom Garfo” segment offers a guide to restaurants across Portugal, recommended by employees from various regions, including the Azores and Madeira. 

Another important section is dedicated to the celebration of significant milestones, recognizing employees who have been with Menarini for 5, 10, 15, 20, and even 25 years. 

In keeping with Menarini Group’s commitment to inclusivity and engagement, Menarini ON features interviews with randomly selected employees from different business units, highlighting the diverse talents within the team but also fosters a sense of unity and recognition across departments.

The first session of 2024 also included a challenge to present an object made with recyclable materials that alluded to Menarini, in the spirit of sustainability that is important to Menarini Group worldwide. The objects were then shown during the second session.

Menarini ON embodies the Group’s dedication to innovation and employee well-being. Through this initiative, Menarini Portugal showcases how technology, when harnessed creatively, can foster a strong sense of community in our increasingly digital work environment.
